I Am Turning 28.5 This Saturday. That Is Entirely Too Close to 30 For My Liking. I Will Distract Myself With A Giveaway.

Top O The Mornin To Ye Blogstalkers.

Tis time for one of me quarterly giveaways!

I am being Scottish/Irish today, can you tell?

Ryan is so regretting that he took me to see the movie Brave this weekend.

(I have to be Scottish/Irish and not just one or the other because Ryan insists that my accents for the two "are completely indistinguishable from each other and also, if I'm being honest here Lauren, actually sound nothing like either Scottish or Irish.")

So with that in mind let's just say I am Scottish/Irish/Jibberish today.

Moving on.

I should totally not be allowed to do giveaways any longer as it turns out I am just the worst at getting the winners their prizes in a timely manner (Sorry DeDe!!!!!!!)

But am doing it anyway since I am not a sensible person.

This time around is seriously awesome amazing wonderful too, because I have finally convinced my local Paper Source to sponsor a giveaway.  And then, since I already had one sponsor on board, I decided to go ahead and make this an entirely Sponsor Love giveaway.

So here's the dealio.

The prizes are:

A set of personalized stationary from Paper Source.  You can totally make it say anything you want.  The options are endless.

You could go all boring like:
Or you could follow my example and be completely ridiculous like:

And because Paper Source understands me, the below is also being included.

Is head massager.  With TENTACLES.

If you win you will also get to pick any pair of sunglasses you'd like (up to $300) from Sunglasses Shop.  (This link redirects you to their Marc Jacobs page, because of how I am obsessed with Marc Jacobs, but don't feel pressured to choose a Marc Jacobs design.)

You also totally get a Silhouette Warmer, Cover and Two Scent Bars from Scentsy.  I use Scentsy in my own home and am OBSESSED with them.  My favorite scent so far is the Honey, Do!  It makes my house smell like Honey Suckle and Rainbows instead of man-sweat and dog-breath.  Like I can not stress enough how much I love Scentsy.  Even before they were a Blog Sponsor.

And finally, you'll get to choose any one product from The Sella Store.  I personally recommend the Volcanic Ash Mask.

So those are the prizes, the total value comes in right around $500!

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment extolling my many virtues.  (Or just leave a regular comment, whatever.)

You'll also get an extra entry if you tweet @FilingJointly linking to this post or if you share this post on Facebook.

Just let me know in your comment  here if you've done either of those things as well.

The contest ends when my half-birthday begins, this Friday at 12AM CST.

Oh! And international entries are completely allowed.

And please please check out the rest of my sponsors (especially the other blogs) on my sidebar.  They are truly the best sponsors a gal could ask for.

May The Luck O'The Irish Be With You Blogstalkers!

**Also wanted to mention that Sunglasses Shop is currently offering 10% off any product to all first-time customers, just click on the link on my sidebar to check them out.**

I don't think I've ever met (read??!!) another person who loves cheese as much as I do. I like you on that principle alone. Plus, sometimes you make me snort soda out of my nose (which is a compliment...or at least I mean it as one...)

PS. I reposted on the Facebook also

  12. Nice giveaway!! I went to see Brave this weekend too (with my 4 kids) and a good time was had by everyone. I'm still trying to teach the youngest one how to say 'Merida' instead of 'the princess with the curly orange hair'. Happy Birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Awesome! I tweeted this, too, and just know I often think of the 'put a ring on it' pic of you and Ryan. Yes, you invade my thoughts. And anyone who loves Christmas as much as you do is okay in my book -- a little wacky, but still okay.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I loves your blog. You are funny. I have a cold, so I am not very fun today... but I did post on FacePants and re-tweeted your blog. Cause I can do that while laying on the couch in my jammies with a dog on my chest and watching Drop Dead Diva..... yea, that will be my whole day today. And I think I need to check out the Scentsy stuff, because the dog on my chest has some foul breath (but she is so cute and snores so sweet that i don;t care)

  15. Awesomeness. Was Brave good, I wanna see it!

    (also I tweeted.)

  16. I want to be you when I grow up. Except I'm probably already as old as ... I was going to say your mom, but I don't KNOW your mom, she could be really young and cute and stuff, so let's say "my own grandmother" and be done with it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I absolutely LOVE your blog. I found it via the bloggess (who I also love btw) but I completely relate to you and your adventures of having to act like a grown up.

  29. Lovee your blog,

I really need a pair of nice sunglasses, and the only way I will ever get them is if they are given to me or I win them in this freaking awesome giveaway.

I break everything so my fiance refuses to let me by sunglasses over the price of $5.00...ugh. Rude.

  32. This might just be the best blog giveaway I have ever seen! I knew I loved your blog for a reason other than you're just as ridiculous (maybe even more so) as myself. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I also Tweeted your giveaway:)

    ReplyDelete
  34. This comment is entirely about the head massager. Those other prizes are amazing (my eyeballz need protection), but the squid head massager is magnificent.

You know what is not magnificent? The fact that spell check does not thing "massager" is a word. Or "eyeballz". YOU NEED CORRECTING, SPELL CHECK!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Adore your blog, Lauren! Bring on some new shades and tentacle fun!

    ReplyDelete
  36. You are the funniest Scottish/Irish/Jibberish person I know. Well, I don't "know" you, but you "know" what I mean!

    ReplyDelete
  37. *sigh*...I feel I'm setting myself up for disappointment again, since I always enter givaways and never win. But since this is for a good cause (I am half-birthday celebrater as well...although my parties tend to lean towards the solo since I can't get my family on board. oh well, more frosting for ME), I'm willing to try again. And happy half birthday! Hope your day looks like Willie Wonka's office.

  41. Lauren-

Here's the deal with you turning 28.5...Your 30th birthday is gonna blow. Truly, it will be the blackest, saddest birthday EVER. Now for the good news, the rest is all uphill, NOT downhill. I just turned 38 and truly loved my 31st birthday, my 32nd birthday, my 33rd birthday...Okay, you get the gist. Why, you may ask? After 30, you really start to know yourself so much better! The reasons for your likes and dislikes aren't as important as simply accepting that they are a part of YOU! What people think of you? Pfft! Doesn't matter, because you're you! This is from a woman who ten years ago wouldn't have gone to a McDonald's drive thru without full hair and makeup. Now I'll even go INTO a store without makeup! Craziness! Okay, my hair still has to be somewhat done, we have standards...You're 20's are for plowing the path, 30's and beyond are for enjoying where that path has led you! Enjoy ALL OF IT!

    ReplyDelete
  42. What an awesome giveaway! You're full time fancy.

Also, you are sooooooo good looking. I'll be sharing this on facebook, as I don't twit/tweet/twoot?

Yesterday, I got myself a gum for free. Not a pack of gum, but a single piece of gum. Got so excited that I had to buy celebratory Chablis and invite people over. For real (or, almost, because in this case, people= person). This is a better giveaway, thought.
Also, giving away presents on your birthday is one of the best and most selfless thing I have heard of. When it's my birthday, I'm like "me, me, ME". Probably a result of having 4 loud siblings, my b-day was the only day I ever got more (read any) attention from the parents. But the wise, old (really old, not almost 30 old) folk say that you feel better when being nice, so maybe giving away stuff is the way to get over that "shit, I'm getting old" feeling? I usually cope with cake.

  70. Seriously, best give away I have seen in FOREVER. I could seriously use some scentsy in my life right now. We got are carpets cleaned this weekend and ever since our house has smelled like dog urine. And it didn't before. Yay for paying for that wonderful aroma.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Omigod!! YES! You always have the most awesome giveaways!Happy Birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  72. My great-grandmother was from Ireland and had an amazing brogue. But I still can't tell the difference between an Irish, Scottish, or Australian accent. Or South African, for that matter, because I've started calling all of them Scottish, too. I'm pretty much limited to British, Southern, and Boston when it comes to discerning the accents of English-speakers.

    ReplyDelete
  73. This is quite the giveaway - wow! So enjoy reading your blog and the fact that you actually comment back to people all the time. Hooray for comments! The head massager alone is making me a bit giddy by the way. It. Is. Awesome. I have never used Scentsy but I do have a dog and a man in the house so it sounds like I must need it. Anyway, I also shared on Twitter and Facebook. Have a lovely day.

Have I mentioned how cute you look today? Because, seriously . . . you are just the most adorable thing! And with the added bonus of completely beautiful teeth with nothing stuck in them!!

Oh, and I LOVE your accent. I can totally tell that is a Scottish brogue. You sound EXACTLY like Merida!

Also . . . Friday is my one year anniversary of blogging. So, you know, I'm just saying . . . wouldn't it be lovely to give me this prize ON my actual anniversary? It would. Trust me. :)

Also, I love you and your blog, which I read even when you're not doing a giveaway!!

Also, also, happy 28.5th birthday!! I just turned 31 (yet another reason I need those prizes - I need something to live for now that I'm past my prime...), so I totes feel your pain. But it's actually fine - I can veer somewhat into crazy old lady territory and people, i.e, kids, have to be nice to me and call me ma'am.

    Keep up the great writing!

Does cancer buy me brownie points since I don't have twitter etc? My husband has cancer. Don't worry, he's responding to chemo and should be back to work by October. But among other things, this means I'm the sole rice winner (I like rice better than bread)right now and all our money goes to the hospital treating him. I would love to win some frivolous non-essential girly things!

Happy Half Birthday! More people should celebrate their half birthdays, it's all the fun of a regular birthday without actually getting older! Numerically I mean. Chronologically you're screwed.

    ReplyDelete
  91. That's odd request but okay...
    1. You already admitted that you have uber long arms.
    2. Your favorite creature is a slimy beast from the sea
    3. Your eyebrows are...
    What's that?
You said 'manly virtues' and that's what I'm doing.
    Read your post again?
    Oooh, 'many virtues'..sorry.
Um, you don't get insulted easily?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Happy half birthday! I'm going to tell you why my insanity ridden self needs a giveaway before I turn back into my semi charming self and tell you why you're an amazing writer.

I live in West Virginia and we had (as far as summer storms go) a very weak storm on Friday evening. This very tiny storm knocked out power all across the tri-state area. It's been verging on 100 degrees every day since and guess what? I have no power, and probably won't until *this* Friday (If I'm lucky). My house gets well water which means we need electricity to get any running water. I have been dying in my home with no internet, no phones, no cellular service, no electricity, no running water, I haven't had a shower since Friday, and to top it all off I'm a teenage girl. Isn't that just the cherry on top? I'm currently at a laundromat just so I can get some clean clothes and thankfully they offer free wi-fi. I need to contact the Pope and submit the owner's name for sainthood.

You really shouldn't be afraid of thirty (says the girl terrified of eighteen) because your life is really just now going to take off. Plus, at thirty you're automatically sophisticated for some reason. For example, Ryan yells at you for eating a ton of cheese? You just ate that cheese in a sophisticated manner that Ryan isn't meant to question.

    Ryan can't handle the sophistication.

Seriously though, you'll be fine. I'm enjoying your writing while you're twenty-eight and I have a feeling you'll be just as funny (if not better) at thirty.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Holy Giveaway Batman! And close to 30 isn't bad because if you're like me (also 28) and most of your friends ARE 30, you get to say things like "you're in your 30s and I'm still in my 20s" and then when they say things like "in your 30s the hangovers get much worse..." you get to say "haha I wouldn't know!" And then they all glare at you. Good times, good times.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Whoa, talk about a fancy giveaway! My favorite of your virtues (clearly there are too many for one paltry comment) are your immense love of books and your ability to make up songs about random objects on the spot. Also your love of cheese and pickles, because foods that were transformed by salt and bacteria are my favorite kinds.

Also your arms. If that kind of reach isn't a virtue then what is? I realize this is more of a genetic ability but sue me, I'm an English major.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Lindsay7/02/2012

I love half-birthdays. I totally celebrate mine and act really offended when my husband doesn't remember it. He remembers our half-iversary though and knows the actual day we got married, which I always think is the day after. Smooth.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Jennifer Bennett7/02/2012

Ohh - happy half birthday ... enjoy and celebrate and RYAN should totally take you to dinner. And shopping. And dessert.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Rebekka7/02/2012

Great giveaway! My mother's maiden name and my middle name is O'Grady, so I'm pretty sure I'm a shoo-in for this! Also, I think your Scottish/Irish accent is VERY authentic in print. And you can tell Ryan that a 1/2 and maybe more Irish woman said that!!

    ReplyDelete
  98. my 30s have been way better than my 20s so you should be excited for that change! Your giveaway sounds awesome and I tweeted about it :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Wow Girl! When you go all out, you go all out! :-D Maybe I will win!? I'm a refugee with my two baby kitties right now! *I live in MD where a major storm just hit and I will not have power until after the 6th! OMG! So now I am refugee in a small town near a theme park that I can't go to because I can't leave my kitties alone!* I'm done with my sob story. Sorry! :-D Hope you have a great half birthday!!!

ALSO! I was at walmart yesterday and saw a noodle...and TOTALLY bought it to get me through my week at a random hotel. If you want pictures of said noodle who could be friends with YOUR noodle, let me know. I'll shall send them your way. :-D *This is also Lesley, with the large round of cheese....*

Half-birthday? That is an eminently practical solution to the problem of having a crappy January birthday, which is too close to the holidays and we're all broke and the weather sucks and we're exhausted and and and. It is not too late for you to campaign for the presidency on the strength of this one awesome platform plank. I'll vote for you!

My husband tries so very, very hard with the accents but always sounds like Apu from the Simpsons.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Um... love this giveaway! I mean BLOG- love this BLOG :) Seriously, if this is how you celebrate your half birthday I can't wait until your whole birthday! YAY for Lauren 28.5!

  102. Carrie Beth7/02/2012

Don't worry, Lauren, 28.5 is the new 27.75!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I talked about it on The Twatter. Well, on The Twitter, but now you're in on my personal name for that social media beast! Double YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Whoa - I'm super late to this party! Anyway... Hey! Lauren's Virtues: Extol, extol, extol. And one more extol for good measure!

And that whole Irish accent thing - my family ancestry is Irish, my brother's name is Seamus (thank you, Harry Potter, for exemplifying the pronunciation), and my middle name is Mairead... and my parents pronounced it incorrectly for the first 10 years of my life (it looks like "May-read" but it sounds like "Muh-raid") - I have my mixed feelings about the dialect. Oh, who am I kidding, I wish I knew Gaelic, or at least had the accent!

Happy, happy, half-birthday!!!! I won't even tell you how old I am, you would get way too depressed. I can tell you that 30 is nothing to be afraid of, it really does get better and when you get older instead of being crazy you will just be eccentric!!! You have the best giveaways!!

  106. Apparently I HAVE to enter this contest because apparently you will NOT be purchasing any of these items for me on MY half-birthday as apparently you have decided despite my obvious charm and wit that you do not want me for a TBFF. Is it because I'm Canadian? If so that sucks - for you - because we are practically known as the Land of Cheese. Oh well, so long as you keep blogging I suppose I will get over it ...maybe faster if I win this giveaway ;)

    ReplyDelete
  107. I must have all of that! My eyes are all squinty from the sun, which gives me a headache, which makes me sweaty and stinky and have bad skin, and all of that makes me want to write a sob note to my friend. I am in need of every one of those prizes! I am off to Facebook, now!

  108. Happy Birthday to a fellow lactose intolerant cheese eater...that SO did not look right in print...

  109. You already know from my past comments how awesome I think you are! Plus remember that time I gave your blog a shoutout from my blog? Yeah, I should totally win :)

  110. There once was a girl named Lauren,
Who married a guy named Ryan,
    Cheese is her favorite food,
Super mega giveaways lift her mood,
But her 28.5 birthday leaves her sighin'.

She's got a super hot friend named OJ,
Who is definitely more than just ok,
    He lives far away,
    So they don't see everyday,
But his singing is more than just blase.

Her love for cheese is alarming,
Her witty antics and stories are charming,
She rolls her eyes at RYAN,
Who hates all of her Marc Jacobs buyin',
So his person, she contemplates harming.

So happy, half birthday to this girl who is vyin',
For the tentacles that I will try buyin',
So a box is what I will Fed Ex her,
So no one dares to vex her,
Because on cloud 9 she'll be flyin'.

    Happy Half Birthday Lauren!

I'd just like to say that I heard your lovely Irish/Scottish/Jibberish accent in your writing and thought it was lovely. So take THAT, Ryan.

  115. Happy half-birthday! My accent problem is even more awkward, I start unconsciously mimicking the accent of whomever I'm talking with! I can't help it, I swear!

  116. Happy Half Birthday and a very merry unbirthday to the rest of us.

  117. i could totally use a pair of expensive sunglasses for free. it's not that i couldn't afford them instead of food, but because i'd be SO MAD at myself the first time i scratched them (it's inevitable, see username, also i'd be hungry).

i kindof freaked out around the time i turned the big 3-oh, but i managed not to think about it before i got to it and after it was passed it didn't seem like such a big thing. (although i can have panic attacks thinking about how minutes are passing...)

my biggest thing was getting gray hairs, so sad! so i let myself start to go grey before 30 because i couldn't do both (be grey and 30). bonus: it makes me seem a tiny bit older and more respected...

although that didn't stop the fill-in dentist from asking if my husband was my father (EW!) and then, after being embarassed, guessing that i was 20... she had to be underestimating, maybe i could pass for 25 (i'm 32 now), but 20? please!

anyway, happy half birthday! are you getting anything from Ryan? he should buy you some rubies, or emeralds, or diamonds!

  118. Love your blog. I don't know why I'm entering this give-a-way, because (a) I never win anything, (b) I don't *need* any of these products, but I really like personalized stationary. And perhaps lastly - (c) I've kinda wasted your time. Sorry about that.

You are ardorkable, you make-a-me laugh (Italian accent?), you love cheese like me, you deserve a giant pie for your birthday (cake is so over-rated), and you WILL have a baby one day. This is why you are great. And I deserve this awesome prize. The end.

  123. Lauren! You are definitely awesome. I totally forget how I stumbled upon your blog...ah well. On a related note- last night, I met friends for dinner at an Irish pub and not only was I the youngest one there- but I was the only one who wasn't carded!! Bah! I feel your pain of being way too close to 30.
Another thing to distract you...several pints of Magner's. mmmmm.
Also paper source is the best place ever.
    Also...you have been tweeted!

  125. I have been sitting in various airports for two days trying to get home to Denver from SC and LOVE reading your blog (also, could really use some face scrub right now). Thanks for keeping me entertained! Meg

    ReplyDelete
  126. Oh, I could talk about all your virtues, but then I'd be here all night. ;)

And I tweeted this, just fyi. :)

    ReplyDelete
  127. So I should start by telling you that you're awesome and that I've shared you with many many friends. I've described you as "read her! she's just as awesome as the bloggess!"

So reasons I should win? Well today is my BIRTHDAY! YAY! I'm 27 today and realized that I'm officially in my "late 20s" now. But it's cool, because as I get older, I just get more AWESOME.Plus I'm Irish (maiden name Kelley ftw!) and my husband is a fair bit Scottish on his mom's side, so I could totally give you the sign off on the accent and it'd be all good. Also, my cheapo sunglasses are starting to look pretty raggidy, so I could really use some new shades.

So, for your viewing pleasure, I give you a terrible terrible photo of a photo of my husband in a kilt (to continue the theme!) (sorry for making you clicky):

  128. I have shared on facebook and am now commenting.

As for your virtues, I would say your love of cheese and of "Pride and Prejudice" would be at the to of my list. Not necessarily in that order.

    Your many virtues... Hmmm...
Every time I read your blog, I know that I'll either smile, feel better about my day, or wish I could hang out with you because you are just the type of person I'd be friends with. Or any combination thereof. I've shared this post on Facebook, not for an extra chance at the contest, but because I know a number of others who would enjoy your blog at least as much as I do.

    Thanks for being awesome!

  131. I just bought a pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses... on my credit card... and I am unemployed... and living at home with my parents. So I may well have to return said sunglasses to stop my credit card debt spiralling out of control (again).

So I'm totally going to tweet this. Mainly just for sunglasses.

  135. I've talked about your blog so much that my boyfriend knows who you are. We live in Chicago so I keep hoping I'll run into you somewhere! Your blog always makes me smile. Thank you for continuing to write, regardless of the challenges you face.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I got turned onto your blog by following The Bloggess, and now, I just can't quit you. You have such a wonderfully quirky personality. I know that if I still lived in Chicago we could be quite the team! Thank you for bringing such joy into my life, despite the challenges you face in your own. :)

  137. You just made me count how long until I turn 30 - only three measly months. My stress level just went up a little higher. Luckily I can read your blog & it will go down again. Also, I still honestly believe you are as wonderful as the Bloggess. Just sayin :)

  143. I turned 30 this year, and decided that I was happy to leave my twenties behind me. However, I do wholeheartedly support your celebration of the half birthday. I happen to have a close friend whose birthday IS my half birthday - it's like a dual celebration every six months.

P.S. I have read, listened to the audio version, and viewed the movies for all of the Harry Potter books as well as adore cheese if you still need a temp BFF.

    ReplyDelete
  144. What a fun giveaway! All I can say for myself is I heart Cheese and my husband constantly yells at me for buying to much of it. I also have a Harry Potter obsession and I too heart the bloggess....we may in fact be related!!

    ReplyDelete
  146. I turned 30 last year and I promise you, it was NO BIG DEAL whatsoever. However, I balked when turning 25 so maybe I just had my freak-out age earlier? Celebrating half-birthdays is totally legit, however! But just think the kind of celebration turning 30 warrants!

I totally threw a Mad Men party, myself :D http://thisnestisbest.com/2012/01/16/mad-men-birthday-party/

    ReplyDelete
  173. Happy half birthday - I can't wait to be 30 because I think at 30 I won't give a shit anymore. My friends that are over 30 think I'm ridiculous for assuming this but I think they're ridiculous for being over 30 and still giving a shit, so in THEIR faces! Which brings me to my shameless begging for free stuff like face products and sunglasses to protect the very important around-the-eye area of the face because I hear that's a big deal.

So, if you want to gift my free stuff I would be super happy! Even if you don't, I adore your blog and I think you are quite a funny lady. Also, my first best friend ever was named Lauren. Also, my very very good friend Carl just married another friend of mine named Lauren. So there's THAT, too. :)

    <3 Emily

p.s. - my Irish accent sounds Rastafarian. For reals. I've been watching Bridesmaids every day just to perfect the handful of phrases Rhodes says... I can say "want a carrot?" in a pretty bitchin' Irish brogue now, I've got that goin for me.

  176. Happy Half Birthday! I'm not going to tell you how old I'm freaking out about turning this month because you would probably smack me upside the head (my friends at work have been doing this; in other news, my head hurts), but age is just a number and birthdays are just a day that you get to have as much cake and drink as many margaritas you want without having to apologize to anyone. Half birthdays are for ice cream and martinis. :)

  179. I totally deserve to win...er...I mean that reading Filing Jointly Finally is enough of a reward for anyone because Lauren is the BEST! She's so smart and funny. And a talented writer. And both makes me laugh and, at times, reflect. She's also really really brave for sharing so much of herself with all of us, and we should all count ourselves lucky to bask in her humor and wisdom.

My actual birthday is on Thursday, and I'm going to be 40. And I'm forced to spend it alone because I had to cancel my vacation (where I was going to meet up with family and friends) because I had this horrible reaction to a medication a doctor put me on and can't miss any more work. The prizes are all awesome. Almost as awesome as Lauren.

    ReplyDelete
  180. So I should win, because I'm basically alternate universe you (in that my boyfriend hasn't married me yet, but I have hope that I can achieve happiness like you in spite of my weird social awkwardness and love of all things fantastical)

    ReplyDelete
  181. I would say that 28.5 is worse than 31.75, but that's a lie since you are at least still in your 20s. I will say, however, that I absolutely loved my BFF even more when she told me - 2 days before my 30th birthday - "Everyone says 30s are the new 20s. Well, guess what? Everyone is a dirty liar." Yay for honesty! (And an early happy half-birthday to you!)

  185. I know I Facebooked this and I *think* I Twittered this too. (Still learning how that works.) But I tell people about your blog anyway 'cause you is some funny shiznit! Also, I am really short so I like to secretly stand behind tall people and pretend they are my pet giraffe. I also have short arms and if we ever meet, I think I will secretly stand behind you and pretend you are my pet squid, so I hope you will have your tentacles on. In return, you can pretend I am your pet monkey, 'cause I can make a *really* good monkey face! And, like I said, I am short.

Finally, as someone about to exit her 30s, let me tell you all that turning 30 was the AWESOMEST! In retrospect, being 20-29 was just mentally confusing. Thirty was where it's at.
