Blogiversary: Year One. Maybe By Year Two I'll Have A Baby.

Today is officially my One Year Blogiversary!

I could not be more excited.

Over the past year you all, my Blogstalkers, have provided me with so much humor and support and I want to thank you for it.  I very much think I could not have gotten through the first part of 2012 without your raging awesomeness.

Tomorrow I'll be back with a funny post (very excited about it) and Friday I'll have Ryan's and my video FAQs, with Ryan's best friend OJ as moderator.  But today I wanted to do something a little bit different.  Something to thank you.  I wish I could send each and every one of you one million dollars for making this last year easier for me to navigate, but I am not a billionaire (yet..probably soon.)  I am likely not even a thousandaire, but am not sure as I avoid my bank statements so that I am not reminded about how I accidentally spent $37.89 at the candy store last Tuesday.

So today (and for the next week) I'm hosting a linky party.  Please link up below with one of your favorite posts.  Maybe one that made you spit on your keyboard and maybe lose control of your bladder a little bit.  Or maybe the one that brought tears to your eyes at its truthfulness.  Or maybe just a post you're proud of writing.  It can be one of your own or one written by another blogger.  Heck, link up as many as you like.  Link up every single post you've ever written if you want.

    I don't read a lot of blogs and I have a bad memory, but this is one of my favourites. I can't hear or read the word "parp" without laughing.

  3. Happy Blogiversary, Lauren! As much as your blogstalkers have helped you navigate the past year, so have you been a compass to many of us. Better than a compass, even, because most compasses I know of don't have a sharp sense of humor, or such silly observations, or a penchant for cheese and monkeys and Christmas.

    Allie's blog kills me in both it's relatability and it's ridiculous, painfully funny and painfully true sense of life as a young woman with issues like myself - I know you've read her, but much like her posts on sneaky hate spirals and adventures in depression (not to mention her dog), this particular post is more "me" most days than can be described:

  5. Oh so many choices. I love the Beyonce article that Amanda mentioned. I think my favorite post I wrote last year was http://rbsquared.info/the-bear-in-the-volcano/
    I'm not sure if the writing is really that good or if i just like it b/c it was such an absurd situation. But I think its one of the moments I realized my favorite things to write about are the funny ones. And as I love reading your funny stories, it seemed like a good thing to post here!
    Cheers on your anniversary!! You (and your blog) are a near constant inspiration to me and a reminder to just be myself online as opposed to trying to fit into a pre-determined blogging box.

    I also like the girls over at Interrobangs Anonymous. Disclosure: I used to work with one of them, and they're really funny and interesting, too.     I just discovered you, I think via The Bloggess, and have spent the past few days reading the archives. You are a very funny and articulate writer and I look forward to your future posts. As several commenters have remarked, Hyperbole-and-a-half has a great blog. My absolute favorite post is her "God of Cake." I die every time I read it.

  17. I, too, just discovered your blog and have randomly laughed out loud like an idiot in my living room multiple times now while reading through your archives. My husband keeps asking me, "what's so funny?" Definitely not the golf he's watching...

    Anyway, the other person who does this to me is Roo from NiceGirlNotes. I linked up to one of my favorites (Things Kids Can Get Away With That Grownups Can't - Part II). So hard to narrow it down - I enjoy clicking through her "Best Of" section.
